Mug Making Workshop

  • Maker House 1351 Holiday Hill Road Goleta, CA, 93117 United States (map)

Tap into your creative side and make your very own mug. Learn simple techniques to shape and design a functional piece you’ll enjoy using every day. Instructor Elise Arnold will begin with a demonstration covering the basics of mug construction by forming the body, attaching handles, and adding personal touches. From there, you’ll get hands-on time to craft your own unique mug with Elise’s guidance and support. Students are not limited to mugs! Whether it be a vase, keepsake dish, or a one-of-a-kind creation, this lesson is all about exploring clay and making something uniquely your own. At the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to paint your mug, and our studio team will finish and fire your piece, ready for pickup in 2-3 weeks. A perfect way to unwind and connect, whether it’s a date night, family activity, or creative hangout with friends. No experience necessary. Children are welcome to register as long as they are accompanied by an adult for the entirety of the workshop.
