Private Kiln Firings

Private firings are available for artists who need to fire work outside of Maker House’s regular kiln schedule or require specific firing temperatures or atmospheres.

We can often accommodate special firing requirements and project deadlines, depending on kiln availability. All kilns are loaded, programmed, and fired by Maker House staff.

Artists using outside glazes or materials are required to provide firing information and may be asked to complete a test before firing. A $150 refundable security deposit is required when using outside glazes to cover potential kiln or shelf damage.
